Amplify Charlotte couldn't be more excited to be working with land designers Agency Landscape and Planning to facilitate community outreach on the Thomas Polk Park renovation project. Cheers to making an impact at the very center of our great city!
Thomas Polk Park is a 1/3 acre public plaza at the heart of Charlotte’s Uptown, on the northwest corner of Trade and Tryon streets.
“Charlotte’s crossroads at ‘Main and Main’ should represent the City’s premier public space—welcoming all by providing an iconic destination. One that is highly functional, flexible for a wide range of events, and most importantly, a beautifully crafted urban place,” said Tracy Dodson, Assistant City Manager and Director of Economic Development for the City of Charlotte.
“Polk Park’s location, at the heart of our city, offers an incredible opportunity for us to create a place to bring people together,” said Michael J. Smith, president and CEO of Charlotte Center City Partners. “We envision this will become one of Charlotte’s most treasured and unique places.”
