Part-Time Content Specialist

 

Established in 2018, Amplify Consulting is a minority-owned and woman-owned, fast-growing consulting firm located in Charlotte, NC, specializing in community outreach planning and place-based outreach initiatives. Our firm consists of professionals experienced in multiple disciplines, including community outreach planning, community development, marketing, communication, and local government policy. We work with governments and nonprofits to enhance their community engagement capacity and increase awareness of special projects by hosting public meetings and workshops, specifically for capital projects and community developments. We believe in helping communities grow with dignity. We believe in an Engagement First approach. We are looking to hire a Part-Time Content Specialist.

The Role

Amplify Consulting is seeking a Content Specialist to join a team of strategy, marketing and community engagement professionals serving local government and nonprofit changemakers in Charlotte and across the US in key industries: transportation planning, local government budget engagement, arts and culture, health equity, and community planning and design. This part-time time role is ideal for someone looking to gain experience in digital marketing and brand strategy. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assistance with management of social media channels, including but not limited to creating social media strategy & content

  • Supporting new business development efforts through assisting with dynamic proposal design

  • Source information to inform community engagement efforts

  • Providing thoughtful evaluation and recommendations on social media strategy & branding efforts

  • Participation in team meetings to share progress on projects

Required Qualifications & Competencies

The ideal candidate would have the following capabilities and qualities:

  • Have experience working in a consulting, digital marketing or project management based role

  • A commitment to the mission of strengthening social impact for the Greater Charlotte community and across the Carolinas

  • Effective communication skills with particularly strong written communication skills (which will be explored in the interview process)

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and prioritize multiple projects. 

  • Must be a collaborative team player who can also work independently

  • Proficiency with project management and productivity tools (i.e. Asana, Canva, Google Suite, and Hootsuite)

Compensation

The position requires approximately 15 hrs/wk and starts between $18/hr to $25/hr based on applicant experience. Minimum experience 2yrs. There is potential for growth for the ideal candidate as the company grows. This role is mostly remote with flexible hours. North Carolina based candidates preferred. The anticipated start date is April 4, 2022.
